Located along the Bund, a central Shanghai waterfront, the Ports1961 flagship store establishes the company’s architectural brand. Like the clothing, the spaces exhibit de-construction of the outer shell and construction of the inner lining.

The prototype is the Grey-toned recycled wood, lining the space and incorporating all heating, cooling, sound, and lighting (smart) systems. Meanwhile, 3D milled platforms transition the walls, floors, and form a base for large accessories. TV-mirrors showcase fashion shows, and custom molded, fiber-reinforced cement ceilings incorporate ambient lighting elements.
