This 11,525 ha developmental strategy for Jingzhou’s new Jinan District is designed at the government’s invitation. We advocate a bottom up approach where urban development is driven by a series of acupunctures in the urban fabric.

These infills address social pressures boost culture and economy and foster new social activity growth. Four acupuncture techniques are developed connect the old city with mixed use programs ribbon city integrating work and live zones via arteries edge city combining urban agriculture with live and play areas and Venice model focusing on waterfront recreation.
