The concept for National Level Industry Park was inspired by Luban Locks, which are traditional Chinese puzzles that are formed by interlocking individual puzzle pieces to create one whole lock. Like these puzzle pieces, our vertical massings interlock with horizontal elements which form the structure and circulation of the buildings. The interlocking elements serve to connect all aspects of the Industrial Park, which include business offices, residential living, fine dining, art galleries and a hotel.

Sustainable systems have been integrated throughout the cultural center. Specialized winter gardens have been incorporated into all buildings. These gardens operate passively year round: natural ventilation enters from below a suspended glass curtain to bring fresh air into the spacious garden, which is then circulated throughout the building via the central ventilation system.
