Gallery - Our design for the Kyle-Kath Gallery in Chelsea’s art district was based on the premise that the displayed art, in this case exquisite large-scale rugs, is the main feature of the space. To that end, we chose to design the space as a large, beautifully balanced set of clean surfaces, with a series of strategically placed interventions that result in exquisitely designed & detailed moments. A new pantry, offices and a private meeting room enriched the large exhibition gallery beautifully lit by the steel and glass facade and a large skylight.

Chelsea - We replaced the aluminum facade with an ultra thin black steel & glass facade with a generous pivot door, more fitting to this art district. A custom designed large entry desk composed of a set of white volumes doubles as work space, and a custom designed sculptural black steel staircase leads the visitors to the private meeting space and office downstairs. A large skylight in the back allows for gorgeous daylighting; sun rays penetrate deep into the gallery space.
