Spanning 116 acres, the 2023 Asian Games masterplan by Archi-Tectonics contains two hybrid stadiums and five green auxiliary buildings. The firm presented its exhibition Strange Objects at Palazzo Bembo during the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale, displaying a 7-meter-long 3D printed model and a photo wall featuring sculptural forms from this completed project.
Archi-Tectonics claimed the international competition with an innovative scheme integrating architecture and landscape into a three-dimensional landform. Built around a Sponge-City strategy, the site delivers a year-round recreational green oasis that acts as an urban green lung to restore local ecosystems. The Field-Hockey Stadium and Hybrid Stadium occupy opposite ends of the mile-long plot. A road and river divide the park; the “Valley-Village” retail layout connects the two split zones and serves as the central social corridor.
